When an IT reseller pulled out a deal with one of Bellcom
Worldwide's Fortune 500 clients 48 hours
before a month's end, a gap of $20 000 for the monthly target
emerged, this calling for instant and decisive action to be taken.
Bellcom Worldwide's strategy to close this gap was to find the
additional revenue by discounting a ready available product. Once a
special offer and product was agreed with Bellcom Worldwide and our
client, an e-shot was developed and readied for deployment within
24 hours. The data for the buying history on this product was
analysed in that same time period and by 8.55am the day after the
gap emerged, an e-shot was deployed to 1200 accounts. Bellcom
Worldwide monitored open rates as well as click through rates and
by 10am three agents began dialling through the list of 200 emails.
At 1.30pm a trigger email and reminder was sent to all 600 accounts
that had opened the e-shot but had not yet been contacted and by
5pm the final deals were made over the phone. As a result of this
email marketing drive, $32 000 of stock was sold and the target set
for the month was exceeded. This example is just one of many
